JAY WISEMAN is one of the world's best known BDSM authors and educators. Best known for his books SM101: A Realistic Introduction, the Erotic Bondage Handbook and Tricks to Please a Man and Tricks to Please a Woman.
Jay Wiseman has been involved in the public BDSM community since the mid-1970s. In 1988, Wiseman began writing and publishing books about BDSM, his first book, Jay Wiseman's Erotic Bondage Handbook is regarded as one of the seminal teachings on erotic bondage.
Jay Wiseman's 'SM 101' was first published in 1992, with basic explanations and safety tips about BDSM practices it too has gone on to become one of the best-known titles in the BDSM book genre. It is one of the most recommended titles to newcomers in the BDSM scene, along with Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns by Phillip Miller and Molly Devon.
In 1991, Wiseman started the Greenery Press publishing house with his partner Lady Green, author of The Sexually Dominant Woman.
Jay Wiseman has served as an expert witness on BDSM at various trials, specifically about issues related to breath control, erotic asphyxiation, and BDSM negotiations. At the age of 56 Jay Wiseman graduated from the New College of California School of Law in 2006.
